Hadith 229

Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Neither join the gatherings of the Qadariyyah (those who deny predestination), nor appoint them as rulers (or do not argue and debate with them)."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Do not base the resolution of issues upon their opinion. Keep this reality firmly in mind: when ordinary Muslims come to know that the people of a certain sect are not upon the truth, but they themselves do not possess the ability to respond to their deceptions, then they should simply avoid the gatherings of such people. For example, Muslims are unanimous that the claim of the Qadianis is based on falsehood, yet despite this, some simple-minded Muslims, being influenced by their arguments, adopt their beliefs. In such a situation, these simple Muslims should keep away from the gatherings of such people altogether.
