Ash'ath bin Qais says: I became a guest of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). First, he caught his wife and struck her, then said: O Ash'ath! Remember three things from me, I learned these from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Do not ask a man why he struck his wife, do not sleep without offering Witr, and the third thing I have forgotten.
