Hadith 2170

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) has also narrated a similar hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The words of this hadith are: “Indeed, Allah has ninety-nine names, one hundred less one; whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise. Indeed, He is Al-Witr (the One), and He loves al-witr (odd numbers).” That is: Verily, Allah Ta‘ala has ninety-nine names, that is, one less than a hundred; whoever memorizes them will enter Paradise. Indeed, Allah Ta‘ala is Witr (Single/Unique) and He loves witr (odd numbers).
