Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became old and heavy, he would recite (the Qur'an) sitting as much as Allah willed, and when thirty or forty verses of the surah remained, he would stand up, recite them, and then perform sajdah (prostration).
