بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ وَالْحَثِّ عَلَيْهَا وَأَفْضَلِ أَوْقَاتِهَاChapter on the Virtue of Night Prayer, Encouragement for It, and Its Best Times
Hadith 2125

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو (بْنِ الْعَاصِ) رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ! لَا تَكُونَنَّ مِثْلَ فُلَانٍ، كَانَ يَقُومُ اللَّيْلَ فَتَرَكَ قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ))
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Abdullah! Do not be like so-and-so; he used to stand (in prayer) at night, then he abandoned standing (in prayer) at night.
