Hadith 2106

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ الْأَذَانِ وَالإِقَامَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform two rak'ahs between the call to Fajr prayer (adhan) and the commencement (iqamah).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is understood that immediately after the call to prayer (adhan) for Fajr, and with brevity, the Sunnah prayers of Fajr should be performed. In any case, these Sunnah prayers can be offered at any time between the adhan and the iqamah.
