Hadith 196

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((عَجَبًا لِلْمُؤْمِنِ لَا يَقْضِي اللَّهُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Wondrous is the case of the believer; whatever decision Allah makes for him, there is good in it for him."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … After utilizing permissible means, one should express gratitude to Allah Ta‘ala for every blessing, and exercise patience in every trial. Instead of regretting the past, one should prepare a productive plan of action for the future. For example, if some loss occurs or one is disgraced due to some carelessness or sin, then one should be cautious in the future and avoid acts of disobedience.
