Hadith 1956

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَسْتَشْرِفُ لِشَيْءٍ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ
Anas bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I saw Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) raise his gaze towards something while he was in prayer, and he would look at it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Certainly, we will interpret these ahadith as being due to necessity, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, on account of some great benefit, deemed it appropriate to look here and there. We have already discussed this subject in the chapter on prayer, in the discussion regarding laughing, turning attention here and there, cracking the fingers, and interlacing them.
