Hadith 1950

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، الْعَقْرَبِ وَالْحَيَّةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, commanded the killing of two black things: the scorpion and the snake.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In this regard, making a distinction between walking a little or a lot, or facing the qiblah or not facing it, all these matters are without evidence. From this hadith, it is understood that the one performing prayer should kill these two animals. Inevitably, he will have to do something by which these animals are killed.
