Hadith 1946

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If anyone faces a need during prayer, he should say Subhan Allah. Clapping is for women, and saying Subhan Allah is for men.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This is the utmost perfect wisdom of Islam that although speech has been declared forbidden in prayer, the worshipper has been permitted to indicate his need by saying “Subhan Allah.” The purpose of this concession is to protect the worshipper from distress.
