Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Fajr prayer, (the combined meaning of the words of both narrators, Abdur Razzaq and Khalaf, is that) during the prayer, he began to lower his hand in front of himself or began to bend himself. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished, the people asked about this action. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Satan was throwing sparks of fire at me to cause me trouble in my prayer, so I thought of catching him, and if I had caught him, he would not have escaped from me, and he would have been tied to one of the pillars of the mosque, and the children of Madinah would have looked at him.
