عَنْ مُعَيْقِيبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْحُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَعْنِي الْحَصَى فَقَالَ: ((إِنْ كُنْتَ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلًا فَوَاحِدَةً))
Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about touching pebbles on the place of prostration. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If it is necessary to do so, then do it only once.
