عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ((مَنْ قَالَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ وَيَثْنِيَ رِجْلَهُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالصُّبْحِ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ عَشْرُ سَيِّئَاتٍ وَرُفِعَ لَهُ عَشْرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَكَانَتْ حِرْزًا مِنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوهٍ وَحِرْزًا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَلَمْ يَحِلِّ لِذَنْبٍ يُدْرِكُهُ إِلَّا الشِّرْكُ، فَكَانَ مِنْ أَفْضَلِ النَّاسِ عَمَلًا إِلَّا رَجُلًا يَفْضُلُهُ يَقُولُ أَفْضَلَ مِمَّا قَالَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, after completing the Maghrib and Fajr prayers, before leaving his prayer place and before folding his legs, recites this supplication ten times: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU, LAHUL MULKU WALAHUL HAMD, BIYADIHIL KHAIR, YUHYEE WA YUMEET, WAHUWA ‘ALAA KULLI SHAY’IN QADEER. (There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, in His hand is all good, He gives life and causes death, and He has power over all things.) For every time he says this, ten good deeds will be written for him, ten sins will be erased, and his ten ranks will be elevated, and these words will be a protection for him from every disliked thing and from the accursed Satan, and no sin except shirk will be able to destroy such a person, and such a person will be the most virtuous among all people in terms of deeds, except for the one who is more virtuous than him, that is, the one who recites this remembrance more than him.
