Hadith 1876

عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ عَلَى هَٰذَا الْمِنْبَرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ أَوْ الصَّلَوَاتِ يَقُولُ: ((لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ وَلَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ، أَهْلَ النِّعْمَةِ وَالْفَضْلِ وَالثَّنَاءِ الْحَسَنِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ))
Abu Zubair says: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) delivering a sermon on this pulpit, and he used to say that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer or prayers and turned for salam, he would say: "There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, and we worship none but Him, O Possessor of bounty, grace, and beautiful praise, there is no god but Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it." (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, all sovereignty and all praise belong to Him, and He is capable of everything. There is no power to avoid evil and no strength to do good except with Allah. We worship none but Him. O Possessor of bounty, grace, and beautiful praise, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it.)
