(Third chain) ‘Abdah bin Abi Lubabah says: The freed slave of Sayyiduna Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him), Warrad, informed him that Sayyiduna Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Warrad himself wrote this letter. Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that when he would finish the prayer with salam, he would say: “La ilaha illallah…” … . The complete hadith was narrated. At the end of this narration, it is mentioned: Warrad said: After that, I went to Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and I heard him instructing the people from the pulpit to recite this supplication and teaching it to them.
