Hadith 1873

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: كَتَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ أَنِ اكْتُبْ إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى فَفَرَغَ قَالَ: ((لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ)) (فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ مَا تَقَدَّمَ)
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Sayyiduna Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) asking him to write to him something he had heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he would say: La ilaha illallah... ... . He mentioned it as in the first hadith.
