(Muslim bin Abi Bakrah says:) I passed by my father and he was making this supplication: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from disbelief, poverty, and the punishment of the grave." So I also memorized this supplication from him and began to recite it after every prayer. Once, my father passed by me while I was making this supplication, and he asked me: "My child! Where did you learn these words from?" I said: "Father! I heard you reciting them after every prayer, so I learned these words from you." He said: "Dear son! Hold fast to them, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite them after every prayer."
