Hadith 1812

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any of you finishes the final Tashahhud, he should seek refuge from these four things: from the punishment of Hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the False Messiah (Dajjal).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The various meanings of Masih are as follows: (1) By this is meant "mamsuh al-‘ayn," that is, one whose one eye will be wiped out. (2) This is "fa‘il" in the sense of "fa‘il" (active participle), meaning one who surveys the earth. (3) By this is meant "bheenga" (squint-eyed). The root of Dajjal is "dajl," which means to cover or conceal. The reason for this naming is that Dajjal will cover the truth with his falsehood.
