It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sat in Tashahhud, he would place his right hand on his right thigh and his left hand on his left thigh, and he would gesture with his index finger, and his gaze would not go beyond his gesture.
