Hadith 1749

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: One night I found the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) missing, and I thought that he had gone to another wife. So I searched and looked for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). But when I returned, I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the state of bowing or prostration, reciting this supplication: "Subhanaka wa bihamdika la ilaha illa anta" (Glory be to You and with Your praise, there is no deity except You). And in another narration: He was reciting this supplication in prostration: "Rabbi ighfir li ma asrartu wa ma a'lantu" (O my Lord! Forgive me my hidden and open sins). Seeing this, I said: May my parents be sacrificed for you, indeed I was thinking of something else, and you were engaged in something else.
