عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: كَانَتْ لِي جُمَّةٌ كُنْتُ إِذَا سَجَدْتُ رَفَعْتُهَا، فَرَآنِي أَبُو حَسَنِ الْمَازِنِيُّ فَقَالَ: تَرْفَعُهَا لَا يُصِيبُهَا التُّرَابُ؟ وَاللَّهِ! لَأَحْلِقَنَّهَا فَحَلَقَهَا
Umar bin Yahya narrates from his father or uncle, who says: I had hair that reached my shoulders, so when I performed prostration, I would lift them up. Abu Hasan Mazni saw me doing this and said: Do you lift them so that they do not get dirt on them? By Allah! I will surely shave them off. Then he shaved that hair.
