بَابُ هَيْئَاتِ السُّجُودِ وَكَيْفَ الْهَوِيِّ إِلَيْهِChapter on the Postures of Prostration and How to Go Down to It
Hadith 1730

عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِذَا سَجَدْتَ فَضَعْ كَفَّيْكَ وَارْفَعْ مِرْفَقَيْكَ))
Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you perform prostration, place your palms on the ground and raise your elbows.
