Hadith 1716

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you performs prostration, he should not sit like a camel sits, rather he should place his hands first and then his knees.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In the commentary, the chain of transmission (isnad) of Wa’il bin Hujr in Sunan is described as hasan li-ghayrihi, in which the action of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is to place the knees first.

Tirmidhi said: This narration is transmitted through Sharik. Al-Albani rahimahullah said: Sharik is weak in terms of memory. Darqutni said: Sharik is alone (munfarid) in narrating this, and the solitary narration of Sharik is not strong.
