Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I spent the night at the house of my maternal aunt, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up during the night, then the complete hadith is mentioned. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ruku and in ruku said: "Subhana Rabbiyal Azim." Then he raised his head and praised Allah Almighty for as long as He willed. Then he performed sajdah and in sajdah said: "Subhana Rabbiyal A'la." Then he raised his head and between the two prostrations made this supplication: "Rabbighfir li, warhamni, wajburni, warfa'ni, warzuqni, wahdini." (O my Lord! Forgive me, have mercy on me, mend my shortcomings, elevate me, provide for me, and guide me.)

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to observe various supplications (adhkar) during bowing (ruku‘); we too should be mindful of this variety. This increases humility and submissiveness (khushu‘ and khudu‘) in the prayer.
