Under this chapter, the following sub-chapters and hadiths have been mentioned.
Ibn Aswad narrates: Alqamah and Aswad were both with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). The time for prayer arrived, so Alqamah and Aswad stepped back (and stood forming a row), but Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) took both of their hands and made one stand on his right side and the other on his left side. Then both of them performed ruku‘ and (according to the Sunnah) placed their hands on their knees, but Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) struck their hands and then, by interlacing and joining his own hands, placed them between his thighs and said: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do it in this manner.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this hadith it is understood that when there are two followers (muqtadis), they will stand to the right and left of the imam; if there are more than this, they will stand behind the imam. And during bowing (ruku‘), the hands are not to be placed on the knees, rather, the fingers are to be interlaced and the hands placed between the knees. This method is called “tatbiq.” However, both of these matters have been abrogated. According to the later rulings, one follower will stand with the imam, and in the case of two, they will stand behind him, and during bowing (ruku‘), the hands will be placed on the knees. Further clarification is coming in the next narration.
