بَابُ الْحُجَّةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ بِقِرَاءَةِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأُبَيٍّ مِمَّنْ أَثْنَى عَلَى قِرَاءَتِهِChapter on the Evidence for Praying with the Recitation of Ibn Mas'ud and Ubayy, Whose Recitation Was Praised

(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((اسْتَقْرِئُوا الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ: مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، وَسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ))
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Learn the Qur’an from four persons: Abdullah bin Mas’ud, Salim the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifah, Mu’adh bin Jabal, and Ubayy bin Ka’b.
