Hadith 1645

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The prayers that you perform today, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to perform prayers in the same manner, except that he would lighten them; his (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer was lighter compared to your prayer, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah Al-Waqi'ah and similar surahs in the Fajr prayer.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Surah Al-Waqi‘ah consists of three sections (rukū‘) and ninety-six (96) verses. It appears that these later people had made the prayers so lengthy that, in comparison, even your (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) recitation of Surah Al-Waqi‘ah seemed brief.
