Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the (prisoner) polytheists of Badr, at that time he was not a Muslim. He says: When I reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was leading the Maghrib prayer and reciting Surah At-Tur in it. Listening to this Qur’an, I felt as if my heart was about to burst.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The state of Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut’im radi Allahu anhu’s heart was due to the effect of listening to the Qur’an, even though at that time he was not yet a Muslim. We should take a lesson from this incident, while we are already Muslims. Surah at-Tur has two sections (rukū‘) and forty-nine verses.
