Hadith 161

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Indeed, the example of a believer is like a piece of gold; when the owner blows upon it (after putting it in the furnace), it neither changes nor diminishes. By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Indeed, the example of a believer is like a honeybee; it eats that which is pure (like a flower), produces that which is pure (like honey), and when it sits on something, it neither breaks it nor spoils it.”
