عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ أَنْ يَجِدَ ثَلَاثَ خَلِفَاتٍ عِظَامٍ سِمَانٍ؟)) قَالَ: قُلْنَا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: ((فَثَلَاثُ آيَاتٍ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْهُنَّ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Does any one of you like that when he returns home, he finds three large, fat, pregnant she-camels? We said: Yes, indeed. He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Three verses which he recites in prayer are better for him than those (three she-camels).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … For those who, without any valid excuse, are averse to prolonging the prayer or do not like lengthy standing (qiyam), there is a lesson to be learned—how deprived they truly are, when each and every verse carries such a great reward.
