عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ فَيُنَادِيَ أَنْ ((لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِقِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَمَا زَادَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, commanded him to go out and announce that there is no prayer except with Surah Al-Fatihah, and with more than that as well.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In this blessed hadith, the explanation of "fa ma zaada" (and whatever is more than that) is the same as has already been mentioned regarding the word "fa sa‘idan" in the first hadith of this chapter.
