بَابُ سُتْرَةُ الْإِمَامِ سُتْرَةٌ لِمَنْ صَلَّى خَلْفَهُ وَأَنَّهُ لَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ مُرُورُ شَيْءٍChapter on the Sutrah of the Imam Being a Sutrah for Those Praying Behind, and That Passing Does Not Invalidate the Prayer
Hadith 1501

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: أَقْبَلْتُ وَقَدْ نَاهَزْتُ الْحُلْمَ أَسِيرُ عَلَى أَتَانٍ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي لِلنَّاسِ يَعْنِي حَتَّى صِرْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ بَعْضِ الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ نَزَلْتُ عَنْهَا فَرَتَعَتْ فَصَفَفْتُ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَرَاءَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, says: I came riding on a donkey, at that time I was near the age of puberty. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was leading the people in prayer. In this state, I reached in front of a part of the first row, dismounted there, the donkey began to graze, and I stood in the row with the people following the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
