عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَثَمَّ بَهْمَةٌ أَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ تَجَافَى
The wife of the Messenger, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would prostrate and there was a kid (young goat) that wanted to pass in front of him, it would pass. He (in prostration) would keep his hands away from his sides.

Benefits: … The wording of the narration in Sunan Abu Dawud is as follows: “Indeed, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed prostration (sajdah), he would separate his hands (i.e., distance them from his sides) to such an extent that if a lamb wanted to pass beneath his forearms, it could pass.”
