Hadith 1488

Ibrahim bin Sa’d narrates from his father, and he from his father, who says: I was offering prayer when a man passed in front of me. I tried to stop him, but he refused to stop. Then I asked Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: My nephew! He will not harm you.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is possible that this worshipper did not have the ability to prevent more than this, and for this reason, Sayyiduna Uthman radi Allahu anhu said this to him, because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has instructed to prevent the passerby according to one’s ability. In any case, this is a mawquf narration; in this chapter, the marfu‘ ahadith are clear.
