Hadith 1476

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that on both Eid prayers, a spear would be fixed for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer prayer facing towards it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Although this blessed hadith pertains to an open field or open space, how can it be inferred from this that there is no need for a sutrah in mosques and homes? Observing a Sunnah in one place does not necessarily mean that its importance is diminished in another place, especially when a general ruling also exists and there are hadiths present regarding the observance of a sutrah inside mosques as well.
