Hadith 1468

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حِمَارٍ وَهُوَ مُوَجَّهٌ (وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ وَهُوَ مُتَوَجِّهٌ) إِلَى خَيْبَرَ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, he says: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, performing prayer on a donkey, in such a state that his, peace and blessings be upon him, face was towards Khaybar.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Khaybar lies in the direction of the east, as is understood from the words of this hadith: Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu says: I saw the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performing prayer while riding a donkey, and his sallallahu alayhi wa sallam face was towards Khaybar, that is, towards the east. (Musnad Ahmad: 5206)
