Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The words of this hadith are as follows: Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu says: The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent me for some need. When I returned, he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was performing prayer on his mount, while the mount was facing towards the east. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would perform prostration (sajdah) and bowing (ruku‘) by gesture, and he would bend lower for prostration than for bowing. I came and greeted (gave salam). When he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam finished the prayer, he said: “What became of such-and-such task?” I was praying. If one faces towards the east in Madinah Munawwarah, then the right side of the worshipper is towards the Ka‘bah.
