(Second Chain) Abdur Rahman bin Kaysan says: I asked my father, Sayyiduna Kaysan (may Allah be pleased with him), what did you find from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: I saw him near the well of Banu Muti’, called Bir Aliya, wrapped in a cloth, performing either the Zuhr or Asr prayer. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed that prayer as two rak’ahs.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Tashih: Tashihiyyah means to take one edge of the cloth from under the left hand and place it over the right shoulder, and the other edge from under the right and place it over the left shoulder, then join both edges together and tie a knot on the chest. Mutalabbiban: The cloth was gathered on the chest, that is, the form of tashih was adopted. In this manner, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam covered his awrah (private parts) with a single sheet and also covered his shoulders. However, this action will be done when the sheet is open.
