Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This hadith is weak, but if we reflect, can the following narration serve as its supporting evidence (shahid): It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: The Children of Israel used to bathe naked, while Allah’s Prophet Musa alayhis salam, due to his modesty and sense of covering, would bathe in seclusion. His people began to say that there was some defect in his private parts, and that is why he bathed in seclusion. One day, Musa alayhis salam placed his clothes on a stone and was bathing, when suddenly the stone, along with his clothes, started moving away. Musa alayhis salam chased after it, striking it and saying: “O stone! My clothes, O stone! My clothes.” Until he reached a group from the Children of Israel, … … (Musnad Ahmad: 9091, Sahih Bukhari: 3404, 4799) In any case, it is established that Musa alayhis salam would arrange for covering (privacy) at the time of ritual bath (ghusl). And Allah knows best what is correct.
