بَابُ حَدِّ الْعَوْرَةِ وَبَيَانِهَا وَحُجَّةِ مَنْ قَالَ أَنَّ الْفَخْذَ عَوْرَةٌChapter on the Definition of Awrah, Its Explanation, and the Evidence of Those Who Say the Thigh is Awrah
Hadith 1392

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ عَلَى مَعْمَرٍ وَفَخِذَاهُ مَكْشُوفَتَانِ فَقَالَ: ((يَا مَعْمَرُ! غَطِّ فَخِذَيْكَ فَإِنَّ الْفَخِذَيْنِ عَوْرَةٌ))
And from them, it is narrated with another chain, they say: I was with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we passed by Muammar and his thighs were uncovered. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Muammar! Cover your thighs, for the thighs are also 'awrah.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From all these blessed ahadith, it is established that a man's thigh is also an area that must be covered (awrah), and it should be concealed. In the next chapter, the investigation of this issue will be presented. Readers are requested to carefully examine all the texts.
