Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with him), who is the brother-in-law of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by Sayyiduna Mu’ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) in the courtyard of the mosque. He was sitting with his thigh uncovered, having wrapped his cloth around himself. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: “O Mu’ammar! Cover your thigh, for the thigh is included in the ‘awrah (part of the body that must be covered).”
