It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, a voice will call out to them: O people of Paradise! There remains one promise of Allah to be fulfilled for you, which you have not yet seen. They will say: O Allah! Have You not brightened our faces, protected us from Hell, and admitted us into Paradise? In another narration, it is mentioned: They will say: Has Allah not made our scales heavy, given our records in our right hands, saved us from Hell, and admitted us into Paradise? At that moment, the veil will be lifted and Allah Almighty will manifest Himself before them, and they will behold Him. By Allah! Allah will not have given them anything better or more beloved than this. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: {لِلَّذِیْنَ اَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنٰی وَ زِیَادَۃٌ} (Those who do good in this world will have a good reward and even more. (Surah Yunus: 26)

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From this chapter it is understood that the people of faith will be granted the vision and sight of their Lord on the Day of Resurrection. And just as, when there are no clouds before the sun or the full moon on the fourteenth night, there is no difficulty or hardship in seeing the sun or the moon—every person, while remaining in their own place, is able to see the sun and the moon—similarly, in beholding Allah Ta‘ala, people will not face any crowding or jostling. Rather, every person, while remaining in their own place, will be honored with the vision of Allah Ta‘ala, the Lord of Might.

May Allah Ta‘ala grant us such a death that after it, we await our Lord in the Gathering and do not follow any false deity. (Ameen)

innaka Hamidun Majid.

And the last of our supplications is that all praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds.

La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

It is Allah Ta‘ala alone who makes the matters of goodness and virtue easy; by His enabling grace, every strength to do good and every power to avoid evil is attained. At this moment, we wish to express gratitude to the Majestic Lord, but the concepts of hearts and minds cannot be adequately expressed in words. Even if all wealth and possessions were dedicated in His path, and tongues became still from repeatedly saying “Alhamdulillah kathiran,” perhaps even then the right of a thousandth part would not be fulfilled. (May Allah accept this effort from us and protect us from immediate and future evil.)

O Grateful Lord! O Lord who appreciates the good deeds of sinners! O Lord of vast and expansive mercy! O Forgiving Lord! O Majestic Lord whose mercy has overcome His wrath! O Great Lord who is not in need of the presence of good deeds or the absence of evil deeds in order to forgive His servant!

Grant this humble effort of ours the honor of acceptance, and make this labor a continuous charity (sadaqah jariyah) for us. (Ameen)

By the support of Your mercy, grant us many times more than our due share. (Ameen)

And if, due to our mistakes, we are deprived of our share, then, without any reason, make us deserving of Your mercy, O Lord who bestows honor! (Ameen)

O Allah! Protect us from ostentation, showing off, and all spiritual and moral diseases. (Ameen)

O Allah! Grant us a life of honor, and have mercy on our homeland and the entire Muslim world. (Ameen)

O Generous Lord! Make us true servants of the Sunnah of Your beloved Prophet.
