Hadith 13328

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was speaking one day and a Bedouin was sitting near him. During the conversation, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: A person of Paradise will ask his Lord for permission to cultivate the land. Allah Almighty will say to him: Have you not received everything you desired? He will reply: Yes, but I like farming. So he will sow the seeds, and in the blink of an eye, the crops will grow, become large, and be harvested, and heaps of crops as big as mountains will be piled up. Allah Almighty will say to him: O son of Adam! Take it, nothing satisfies you. The Bedouin said: By Allah, the one who will have such a desire in Paradise will be a Qurayshi or an Ansari, because these are the people who do farming; we are not farmers. Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) laughed.
