بَابُ فَضْلِ الْجُلُوسِ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ وَالسَّعْيِ إِلَيْهَا وَفَضْلِ أَهْلِ الدُّوْرِ الْقَرِيبَةِ مِنْهَاChapter on the Virtue of Sitting in Mosques, Going to Them, and the Virtue of Those Living Nearby
Hadith 1329

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ يَعْتَادُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَاشْهَدُوا عَلَيْهِ بِالْإِيمَانِ، قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ}))
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you see a man who is accustomed to coming and going to the mosque, then bear witness to his faith, because Allah Almighty says: Only those maintain the mosques of Allah who believe in Allah and the Last Day.
