كتاب النار والجنةThe Book of Hellfire and Paradise
التَّعَوذُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَسُوَّالُ اللَّهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَنَّهُمَا أَقْرَبُ إِلَى الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ شِرَاكِ نَعْلِهِSeeking refuge from the Fire and asking Allah for Paradise, and that they are closer to a person than his sandal strap
Hadith 13200

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”مَا اسْتَجَارَ عَبْدٌ مِنَ النَّارِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ إِلَّا قَالَتِ النَّارُ: اللَّهُمَّ أَجِرْهُ مِنِّي وَلَا يَسْأَلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا قَالَتِ الْجَنَّةُ: اللَّهُمَّ أَدْخِلْهُ إِيَّايَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever seeks refuge from Hell three times, Hell says: O Allah! Keep him away from me. Similarly, whoever asks Allah for Paradise, Paradise says: O Allah! Admit this servant into me.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If this is a favor from Allah Ta'ala, then we too should remain conscious and frequently ask for Paradise and seek refuge from Hell.
