Hadith 1319

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ (عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ أَوْسَعُ مِنْهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ))
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, a house more spacious than it will be built for him in Paradise.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In this hadith, the word "awsa‘" is not established, therefore the hadith should be considered authentic except for this word. From this hadith, it is understood that by "similarity" or "resemblance" it is not meant that the house in the mosque and the house in Paradise will be equal in every respect; the details of this have already been mentioned previously.
