It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad! Surely, good deeds and sins will be created in embodied forms and brought before the people on the Day of Resurrection. Goodness will give glad tidings to those who performed good deeds and will promise them a good end, while sin will say to the sinners: Go away, go away, but they will cling to it nonetheless.
Brief Explanation
Benefits:
1. From the ahadith of this section, it is understood that speech (kalam) is one of the attributes of Allah Ta'ala.
2. It is also understood that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah Ta'ala will speak directly with every servant, and there will be no interpreter between them.
3. It is further understood that on the Day of Resurrection, the deeds of humans will be given a form and body, and those deeds will be shown to the person.
4. It is also understood that a person should continue to take measures to protect himself from Hellfire.
5. To save oneself from Hellfire, a person should not consider any opportunity for a good deed insignificant. Even if he is not able to give a whole date in the way of Allah Ta'ala, he should give even half a date. If this good deed is accepted by Allah Ta'ala, it will become a means for the person's forgiveness and elevation of ranks, insha Allah Ta'ala!
6. It is also understood that besides wealth and children, the abilities and blessings such as sight and hearing that Allah Ta'ala has granted to a person, Allah Ta'ala will mention them on the Day of Resurrection and ask the servants: "Did I not bestow upon you such and such blessings? What did you do as a result of them?"
7. It is also understood that for a person, the reward for good deeds with Allah Ta'ala is limitless and beyond measure. Even if a person spends his entire life—from the day of his birth until he dies old—in obedience to Allah Ta'ala, when he sees the recompense and reward for deeds on the Day of Resurrection, he will consider all his lifelong good deeds as insignificant and will wish: "If only I could be sent back to the world so that I could perform more good deeds and obtain even more reward from Allah Ta'ala."
8. It is also understood that the punishment of Hell is very severe, and since a person will not possess wealth and riches there, there will be no way to attain deliverance from it. The people of Hell will wish: "If only we had all the wealth of the world, we would pay it as ransom to be freed from Hell," but this will not be possible. Allah Ta'ala will say: "I had demanded from you something even easier than this—that you do not associate partners with Me."
9. From this, it is also understood that the end of a polytheist (mushrik) is Hell.
10. It is also understood that one should supplicate to Allah Ta'ala for an easy reckoning, that Allah Ta'ala grant us an easy reckoning on the Day of Resurrection. What is meant by this is that, despite seeing our deeds, He overlooks them.
11. And if, regarding someone, Allah Ta'ala questions in such a manner: "Why did you do such and such deeds, and why did you not do such and such deeds?" then such a person will be destroyed. There will be no hope for his salvation. (We ask Allah Ta'ala for well-being, Ameen.)
12. It is also understood that if a Muslim is afflicted with any pain, suffering, hardship, or distress—even if a thorn pricks him—this becomes an expiation for his sins.
13. On the Day of Resurrection, there will be no need to ask any jinn or human about their deeds. Every person will be recognized by his face as to what kind of deeds he has brought and what his outcome is going to be.
