It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I will be your forerunner; when you do not find me anywhere else, then you will find me at the Pond. Its width is as much as the distance from Aylah to Makkah Mukarramah. Many men and women will come there with water skins and vessels, but they will not be able to obtain anything from there.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … 1. In the hadiths of this section as well, the affirmation of the Pond of Kawthar (Hawd al-Kawthar) is found. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) will go ahead and wait for his ummah at the Pond, and will give water to those who come. However, the disobedient and innovators (bid‘atis) of this ummah will be taken to the left side and will be prevented from coming to the Pond. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) will say, “O Lord, these are people of my ummah.” A reply will come from Allah Ta‘ala that these people made many changes in the religion after you. Therefore, these people are not deserving of the water of Kawthar. 2. It is also understood that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is not ‘Alim al-Ghayb (knower of the unseen), because it will be said to him by Allah Ta‘ala that you do not know what these people did after you. 3. From this section, the supplication for visiting the graveyard is also learned. 4. It is also understood that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) expressed his longing to see the individuals of his ummah who would come after him, and called them his brothers: thus, the individuals of the ummah can be called the brothers of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). There is no legal objection to this. 5. It is also understood that, due to the blessing of ablution (wudu), the faces, hands, and feet of the individuals of this ummah will be radiant. And this will be a sign that they are members of the Muhammadan ummah. 6. It is also understood that, although some people will be innovators and neglectful in practice, nevertheless, due to ablution (wudu), their limbs will be radiant. 7. And due to their evil deeds, they will be deprived of the water of Kawthar. (We seek refuge with Allah Ta‘ala from that. Ameen)
