It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the people of faith will gather together, and it will be inspired to them, so they will say: We should appoint someone as an intercessor so that he may intercede for us before Allah Almighty, so that He may deliver us from this place. Thus, they will go to Adam (peace be upon him) and say to him: O Adam! You are the father of mankind, Allah Almighty created you with His own hand, made the angels prostrate to you, and taught you the names of all things. Please intercede for us before your Lord so that He may deliver us from this place. Adam (peace be upon him) will say: I do not have the courage for this, then he will mention his mistake and will excuse himself from interceding before his Lord, and will say: You people should go to Noah (peace be upon him), he is the first Messenger of Allah Almighty who was sent to the people of the earth. So they will go to Noah (peace be upon him) and request him for intercession, but he too will excuse himself, saying that he cannot do this, then he will mention his mistake that he made a supplication to Allah Almighty about something he did not know, and because of this he will excuse himself from going before his Lord, and will say: You people should go to Allah’s friend, Ibrahim (peace be upon him). So they will go to him, but he too will say that he cannot do this, and will advise them: You people should go to Musa (peace be upon him), he is such a chosen servant of Allah Almighty that Allah spoke to him directly and gave him the Torah. Therefore, the people will go to Musa (peace be upon him), but he too will excuse himself, saying: I killed a man without reason, and because of this he will excuse himself from going before Allah Almighty, and will say: You people should go to Isa (peace be upon him), he is a chosen servant of Allah Almighty, His Messenger, His Word, and His Spirit. So the people will go to Isa (peace be upon him), but he too, excusing himself, will say: I cannot do this, however, you people should go to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he is the chosen servant of Allah Almighty and Allah has forgiven all his past and future sins. After that, the people will come to me, and after hearing their request, I will walk between the two groups of the believers and go to my Lord and seek permission. I will be granted permission and, seeing my Lord, I will fall in prostration before Him. Allah Almighty will allow me to remain in prostration as long as He wills. Then it will be said: O Muhammad! Raise your head, speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted. Then I will raise my head and praise Allah Almighty with such praises as He will teach me at that time. Then I will intercede and a limit will be set for me that you may take such and such people into Paradise. I will take them into Paradise and return again, and upon seeing my Lord, I will fall in prostration before Him. Allah Almighty will allow me to remain in prostration as long as He wills. Then it will be said to me: O Muhammad! Raise your head, speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted. I will raise my head from prostration and praise Allah Almighty with such praises as He will teach me at that time. Then I will intercede and a limit will be set for me that you may take such and such people into Paradise. I will come for the third time and, seeing my Lord, I will fall in prostration before Him, and I will remain in prostration as long as Allah Almighty wills. After admitting them into Paradise, I will come for the fourth time and say: O Lord! Now only those people remain in Hell whom the Qur’an has detained (i.e., about whom the Qur’an has said that they will remain in Hell forever).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every person who has recited LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH and in whose heart there is faith equal to a grain of barley will be taken out of Hell. Then, after that, every person who has recited LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH and in whose heart there is faith equal to a grain of wheat will also be taken out of Hell. Thereafter, every person who has recited LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH and in whose heart there is faith equal to the smallest particle will also be taken out of Hell.
