هَوْلُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَدُنُو الشَّمْسِ مِنْ رُءُوسِ الخلائقThe terror of the Day of Resurrection and the sun drawing near to the heads of creation
Hadith 13085

عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لِعَظَمَةِ الرَّحْمَنِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى إِنَّ الْعَرَقَ لَيُلْجِمُ الرِّجَالَ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ آذَانِهِمْ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: On the Day of Resurrection, people will stand before the Lord of the worlds in reverence for the Most Merciful, until their sweat will reach up to the middle of their ears.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … People will be drenched in sweat due to the intensity of the heat. The earth will be covered with sweat up to seventy hands deep, and people will be submerged in sweat according to their deeds. Some will be up to their ankles, some up to their shins, some up to half their calves, some up to their knees, some up to their buttocks, some up to their waists, some up to their shoulders, some up to their necks, some up to their mouths, and some up to half their ears, immersed in sweat. We pray that Allah Ta‘ala protects all of us from the severity, heat, distress, and anxiety of that Day, and grants us ease. Ameen.
